Land cover change impact analysis: an integration of remote sensing, GIS and DPSIR framework to deal with degraded land in Lepan Watershed, North Sumatra, Indonesia. Biodiversitas 23: 3000-3011. The Watershed is located Sumatra Province, types the were examined analyze changes over periods five years ten (2009-2014-2019). This study used three analyses: analysis type, change, causes impacts those changes, government responses changes. Analysis was conducted using geographic information system (GIS). analyzed driving forces, pressure, state, impact, response (DPSIR) approach. Twelve identified, i.e., water body, dryland forest, industry, mixed garden, open land, mangrove, rubber plantation, oil palm settlement, paddy field, shrub, pond. For years, occurred Watershed. During (2009-2019), settlement increased, while pond decreased. body industry did not undergo extensive past years. Changes resulted following impacts: decreasing biodiversity, increasing risk floods, damage mangroves, rice production. prevention land-use maintain environmental sustainability a shared responsibility all stakeholders.
